This is suuuuch gorgeously incredible work. Truly. Especially for a random, warm up sketch I can't even do this if I sat down for 3 days 
Seriously though, I LOVE the idea behind it, and you executed it so beautifully. Love the detailing and how stark the red is against the purple/blue background. This has so much more value and depth than I think you realize; maybe it's just me, but you really told a story here
